When
it comes to warbird models, the P-51, Corsair and the AT-6 "Texan"
seem to always bubble up to the top of everyone's "favorites"
list. Ted Zaborski's SNJ (the US Navy's variant of the
AT-6 advanced trainer) comes as a Hangar 9 ARF that includes nice scale
details and factory installed retracts. First
seen at the field mid-season last year, Ted powers his 67.5" span
model with a OS .91 four-stroke which provides ample power and a nice,
throaty sound as he makes one of his inverted strafing runs down the field.
Ted's only
complaint was that the retracts would not stay aligned and collapsed on
landing several times. He resolved this by locking the gear into the down
position.
